I aim to create a wellness experience that welcomes and cherishes every person. I am dedicated to helping clients cultivate a deep appreciation and love for their bodies. I have a passion for increasing financial accessibility for massage. All of my services are offered on a sliding scale and I work with local organizations to provide low or no cost bodywork on an as-needed basis.
The Practitioner
Bethany Peterson
I am a licensed and experienced massage therapist located in Newport, RI. My journey began at Keene State College, where I earned a dual degree in Dance (B.A.) and Education (B.S.). I have always had a passion for connecting with others and have found that to be a throughline in my life. Before finding massage I taught in South Africa, worked for San Francisco Recreation and Parks, and built inclusive and equitable hiring practices at the Sierra Club. My previous roles have shaped the way I built my independent practice. Working for myself has given me the freedom to shape my own business values, pricing structure, and community involvement. I believe I bring a unique approach to my massage therapy practice that is rooted in a commitment to compassion, equity, and community care.
